Our team is bound by the common goal of continuously innovating to deliver solutions that bring about positive social and environmental impacts

We started SolarSolutions back in 2011. We were a group of professionals with backgrounds spanning physics, mathematics, engineering, entrepreneurship, information technology, finance, law, and design bound together by our common ties to Ateneo de Manila University.

We empower communities and individuals through renewable energy.
We focus on delivering products and services that deliver great value and produce highly positive social impacts for all our customers through a profitable, sustainable, and innovative social enterprise.

Our company also provides research and development services and technical advice on the design and
development of renewable energy products.

As a Filipino company, SolarSolutions take pride in utilizing local talents and resources in delivering world-class solar energy consulting, research, design, and deployment in the country.

Rick Laping

Graduated AB Philosophy. He is currently a community development specialist and a site manager of community-based solar service station

Javy Alpasa

SJ Jesuit priest and social entrepreneur. TED fellow. He teaches at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. Sits on the board of several social enterprises including co-founded enterprises Rags to Riches community and Uma Republika.

Ken Abellanosa

Mechanical Engineering graduate and currently head engineer and project implementor at SolarSolutions. He makes fast and flexible solar power systems for communities.

Raffy Concepcion

An ECE major from Ateneo with a Masters degree in Technology Management at UP. An IT professional by day with expertise in UX, data, and software development. General Manager and runs the communications and marketing efforts of SolarSolutions

Rey Guerrero

Graduated with both a BS and MS degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Ateneo. Licensed engineer and PhD from UP. Works at an energy company and currently focuses on the technical and strategic aspects of the company.

Reese Macabebe

A faculty member at the Department of Electronics Communications and Computer Engineering (ECCE) at AdMU who holds a PhD in Physics. She is involved in extensive research on solar photovoltaic systems with several papers published on solar cell characterization.

Aison Garcia

A lawyer from the Ateneo-based legal NGO Saligan, now a legal consultant at the Department of Agrarian Reform. He graduated with a degree in Math from Ateneo and law at UP. He currently serves as the legal, technical, and community…
