SolarSolutions, Inc. is a social enterprise that provides technical and expert advice on the design and deployment of renewable energy. We design solar energy systems for homes and communities, solar-powered waste water treatment, and undertake Research and Development on solar systems with the goal of improving its efficiency, lowering its cost, and making it available and affordable to more people and communities.
Combining a wide range of expertise across different fields, we’re pooling out time, talent, and resources to deliver world class alternative energy consulting, research, design, and implementation services to Filipinos.

Dr. Reese Macabebe
is a faculty member at the Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU). She holds a PhD in Physics and her work involved studying photovoltaic devices of different technologies: crystalline silicon, thin film and organic solar cells. She is involved in extensive research on solar photovoltaic systems with numerous papers published on solar cell characterization.
Sherdon Niño Y. Uy
BS and MS in Physics, Ateneo de Manila University, currently working at the Manila Observatory. Researched on storage of solar energy and deployed solar-powered measuring devices in Mindoro and Palawan.
Engr. Jun Granada
Head of Maintenance of the Loyola Schools. Licensed electrical engineer with a masters in Electrical Engineering from AdMU. Researched on solar energy and its application in waste water treatment and set-up a solar powered waste water treatment system at the Berchmans and Mateo Ricci buildings in Ateneo.
Atty. Aison Garcia
Lawyer from Ateneo-based legal NGO Saligan and now legal consultant at the Department of Agrarian Reform. Graduated Math from Ateneo and law at UP. An alternative lawyer for maginalized sectors, part of a dedicated legal team that handled the Sumilao and Negros farmers cases then drafted, lobbied for, and shepherded the passage of the CARPER law. Now, legal consultant for DAR, implementing land distribution in the top 20 “hotspot” provinces. His work with farmers and interest in physics has led him to “social entreps” and solar energy.
Engr. Rey Guerrero
BS ECE graduate from Ateneo, now working for a solar panel company in Laguna. Recently finished his Masters Degree in ECE at Ateneo with research on solar cell properties.
BS ECE graduate of Ateneo researching on renewable energy and educational technologies through a Masters program in Technology Management at UP. Currently involved in web development and IT-related technology solutions through co-founded companies Green Mango Solutions and Blueroots Inc. Currently working at a video technology company at the UP-Ayala Technohub.
Franz David Lim
Economics graduate from AdMU with Masters in Development Economics at UP. Worked in China for 7 years, now serves as consultant for Chinese companies engaged in business in the Philippines. Currently heads procurement operations for solar technologies.
Engr. Rey Barcelon
BS Math and BS ECE graduate of Ateneo, taught advance math and engineering subjects in the Loyola Schools. Now involved in software development in a Makati-based company.
